Sara Storøy is a senior lawyer in Kvale's Employment Law and Dispute Resolution department. She specializes in both labor law and maritime labor law.
Sara primarily assists employers, particularly larger shipping companies in the wellboat, offshore, and sea and coastal fishing segments. She also regularly advises stakeholders in the aquaculture/fish farming industry and service vessels associated with aquaculture on crew-related matters. Sara has also assisted major passenger ship companies in both scheduled services and tourist charter segments. On the onshore side, Sara has worked with larger industrial clients.
She has experience in both collective and individual labor law as well as pension law matters. Her assistance includes advice, negotiations, and dispute resolution related to termination of employment and processes involving restructuring, changes, and downsizing. She also provides guidance in connection with business transfers, both on the buyer's and seller's side. Additionally, her assistance covers interpretation of collective agreements, drafting and quality assurance of employment contracts, work instructions, working time arrangements, work rules, process descriptions, and terminations.
