Hermann Solheim is affiliated with Kvale's EU and Competition Law department and has extensive experience in competition law issues.
At Kvale, Hermann primarily works with competition law and general EU/EEA law. Hermann assists national and international companies with competition law assessments of mergers and acquisitions and provides assistance to companies under investigation by competition authorities for illegal cooperation and abuse of dominant position. He has experience in handling complaint cases for the Competition Appeals Board and also assists clients in follow-on damages claims and cases concerning private enforcement of competition rules. Additionally, Hermann works on compliance and competition law assessments of cooperation agreements and joint ventures.
Hermann previously worked at the Norwegian Competition Authority, where he dealt with several major and minor mergers subject to the Competition Authority's merger control. He has also worked on the investigation and enforcement of violations of the Competition Act's prohibitions against illegal cooperation and abuse of dominant position, as well as participated in the planning and execution of evidence seizures.
